UAEH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

The OSUAEH is the professional orchestra of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, constituted as a Civil Association dedicated to the dissemination of the universal symphonic repertoire and the musical identity of Mexico .

Who are we?

Mission: To promote artistic excellence and enrich the cultural life of the state of Hidalgo through symphonic music .

 

Vision: To consolidate itself as a project with international projection, rescuing Mexican musical heritage and supporting new generations of artists .

 

Values: Our work is governed by discipline, excellence, harmony, respect and professionalism .

History and Trajectory

Founded in August 1997 , the orchestra has its official headquarters in the Aula Magna “Alfonso Cravioto Mejorada” in Mineral de la Reforma, Hidalgo .

Throughout its history, it has been known for:

International Collaborations: It has been directed by teachers from Singapore, Taiwan, Russia, Italy and Mexico, among others .

Productions: He has presented operas such as Carmen and The Magic Flute , ballets such as The Nutcracker and has a discography that includes works by Vivaldi and Beethoven .

Tours: In 2018 he made his first international tour in Colombia .

Recognition: Their cultural contribution has been key to the UAEH obtaining 5 stars in the Arts and Culture category of the QS St

Linda Martinez Guzman

Linda Martínez, originally from Mexicali, Baja California, displayed a strong creative drive from a young age, leading her to explore the visual arts. She studied at the Normal School for Teachers and worked as a teacher for 30 years, which allowed her to playfully explore her creativity with preschool children.

Her work focuses on the figure of the woman, drawing inspiration from her own roots, her family, her daughters, and her experience as an educator, grandmother, and friend, capturing these experiences on her canvases. In 2021, during a summer course at the School of Arts and Crafts in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco—where she currently resides—her collection “Perfectly Imperfect Women” .

To date, she has held 15 solo exhibitions and 2 group in various municipalities of Jalisco. In October 2024, she exhibited at the Leonora Carrington Museum in Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, as part of the museum's anniversary celebrations and the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the First Surrealist Manifesto . Also in 2024, she contributed to preschool books with the publisher AMCO , and her work has been sold in several Mexican states and in California and Nevada (USA).

Yolanda Yadsany Cerezo Sanabria

Yolanda Yadsany Cerezo Sanabria is a Mexican singer and has been a professional musician since the age of 19. Her passion for singing began in childhood and is part of her family history: she is the third generation of musicians , sharing this vocation with her father.

She has received vocal training from private teachers and instruction in solfège. Although she performs various genres, her specialty and greatest pride is traditional Mexican music . She is currently a member of the mariachi band directed by her father, where she has the honor of representing Mexico's rich cultural heritage to tourists from around the world.

She performs at high-end hotels on the Riviera Maya and at all kinds of events, from intimate dinners to large public celebrations. With a commitment to total dedication, she attends to every detail: stage presence, traditional costumes, and a performance that connects with the audience thanks to her charisma, experience, and passion for tourism.
