Expo Mexico Mujer 2026 concludes in Ottawa, consolidating itself as a binational platform for cooperation between Mexico and Canada
Expo México Mujer 2026 concluded successfully in the Canadian capital, consolidating itself as a platform for economic and cultural cooperation and the promotion of female leadership between Mexico and Canada, with the participation of businesswomen, creators, artists and institutional representatives from both countries.
The meeting was organized by Grupo LET (Link Education and Travel), with the support of the Embassy of Mexico in Canada as an institutional partner, and the collaboration of COMCE Sur and the Global Compact of Women Leaders as co-organizers.
The Impact in Ottawa 2026
- Venue: Horticulture Building in Lansdowne Park, Ottawa (June 4-7).
- Attendance: Approximately 4,000 attendees and representatives from the Canadian business sector.
- Mexican Participation: Representatives from 14 states of the Mexican Republic, 60 exhibitors from 41 brands and more than 120 representatives from the cultural field.
- Binational Networks: 18 businesses established in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, plus an official business round in the Parliament of Canada with 41 Mexican businesswomen.
The program included an agenda focused on economic engagement, cultural activities, entrepreneurship forums, and spaces for institutional dialogue. Notable participants included the Ambassador of Mexico to Canada, Carlos Joaquín González; Canadian Member of Parliament Julie Dzerowicz; Minister of Women and Gender Equality Rechie Valdez; Congresswoman Daniela Mier Bañuelos; and the Mayor of Ottawa, Mark Sutcliffe.
During the four days of activities, conferences, specialized workshops, gastronomic demonstrations, mezcal tastings, art exhibitions, musical performances, and fashion shows took place. The 2026 edition was particularly noteworthy for its focus on inclusion, integrating the participation of Indigenous women, emerging artists, and people with disabilities.

During the closing ceremony, the poster for the next edition of the event was officially unveiled. This year's event will take place in Toronto with the aim of expanding its reach, strengthening the internationalization of Mexican companies, and forging new economic, cultural, and tourism partnerships.
